Beatriz Alfaro

Beatriz AlfaroBeatriz Alfaro is an Associate Attorney at our Woodland Hills office. Born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles, Beatriz earned her undergraduate degree in 2013 from Loyola Marymount University.  where she majored in Women’s Studies and Spanish. For four consecutive years, Beatriz was awarded the Latino Alumni Association (LAA) Scholarship.  Based on her outstanding GPA, her impressive campus and service involvement, LAA/LMU board awarded her the prestigious Donald P. Merrifield, S.J. Scholarship. Beatriz has also participated in the UCLA Law Fellows program and the Latino Leadership Initiative at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Thereafter, Beatriz attended UC Davis School of Law. While in law school, she clerked at the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office, Yolo County District Attorney’s Office and Attorney General’s Office in Los Angeles.  In the fall of 2015, Beatriz externed for Associate Justice Elena Duarte at the Third District Court of Appeal.  During this time, she was also involved in a number of groups on campus where she served as President of the Criminal Law Association, was selected for the Trial Practice Honors Board, and Co-Chaired the recruitment and outreach committee dedicated to increasing diversity. Due to her commitment to the ethic and practice of using legal training to contribute to the common good, Beatriz earned a Public Service Law Certificate for completing a minimum of 175 hours of public service legal work in the community.

Post-graduation, Beatriz secured a Civil Rights Fellowship with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.  She is a native Spanish speaker and hopes to always partake in mentoring programs since they were fundamental to her success.
