I graduated from UCSB in 2001 with a BA degree in Law and Society. Shortly thereafter, I started working for a criminal defense firm. While at the firm, I enrolled into the Paralegal Certificate Program at UCLA-Extension. I received my certificate in 2005. In that same year I was hired by the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, where I worked as a Senior Paralegal for nine years. In 2014, my husband and I moved to Seattle, WA. I accepted a job as a Paralegal with the United States Attorney’s Office, assisting in both the Criminal and Civil Units. After three years, we decided to move back to Los Angeles to be closer to family.
