Jeanette Chu grew up in New York City. Jeanette graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Ecology and Conservation from the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland in 2013. In 2016, Jeanette graduated from Tulane University Law School specializing in international and comparative law.
During law school, Jeanette focused on public interest law where she served as a student attorney with the Juvenile Litigation Clinic representing indigent minors facing felony charges. As the treasurer of the Public Interest Law Foundation she also raised grant money to assist other law students in their fights for justice across the country. For her 2L summer clerkship, Jeanette worked for the Northern Virginia Capital Defender’s office. During her last year of law school, Jeanette also served as class treasurer and as a member of the Student Bar Association.
After law school, Jeanette worked as an attorney in Alexandria, VA, representing corporate clients on breach of contract, Lanham Act, and contempt of court cases in international arbitration and in U.S. District Court. In 2018, Jeanette decided to relocate to sunny Los Angeles with her family and join Bohm Law Group. In her spare time, Jeanette enjoys exploring Southern California with her three dogs: Daisy, Dempsey, and Owen.
Jeanette is also currently licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia.
